- Example of an alternative report. This report has been prepared by Save the Children UK (Pakistan office) and the Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (SPARC). It reflects the views of a number of civil society organisations working for child rights across the country.
- Child rights situation analysis for Middle East and North Africa Region
- This regional situation analysis, which is guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), explores the violation of child rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The study covers 17 countries in the MENA region, and concentrates on strengthening civil society organisations to be able to identify gaps in ensuring child rights in the region, report child rights violations, and take action to raise awareness and advocate for the fulfilment of these children&'s rights.

- Child Rights Situation Analysis
- A situation analysis forms a basis for planning of programmes, projects, or strategies. It involves collecting relevant information to assess the context of the problems, identify key issues, and establish priorities. The document contains seven tools: Tools on Sources of Information; Tools for Analysis of Child Rights Violations and Gaps in Provision; Tool for Government Institutions and International Frameworks Analysis; Tool for Causality Analysis; Tools for Power and Gender Analysis; Tool for Identification and Selection of Duty Bearers; and Tools for guiding writing of the child rights situational analysis (CRSA).
