What commitment is expected by the Ambassadors?
As a minimum, the Ambassadors are expected to:
- join some online sessions for training and networking during a 12-month period;
- produce at least one post on the Ambassadors' Blog;
- help spread the word about Capacity4dev initiatives and content (e.g. events, multimedia content, and articles) on social media and beyond;
- contribute to Capacity4dev campaigns.
The commitment level will also depend on each Ambassador’s willingness to be involved in shaping and delivering Capacity4dev initiatives that will take place in 2024 and 2025. This is a voluntary initiative, so we value the time and efforts you put in parallel with the rest of your commitments.
What is the duration of the initiative?
Each Ambassador is expected to commit for a period of 12 months, aka one year, since the launch of the Programme in Autumn 2024.
How will the Ambassadors be involved?
The Ambassadors will be the champions of our platform, so we expect them to be proactive in various ways, such as:
- raise awareness about Capacity4dev, its content and initiatives on social media;
- invite other international cooperation professionals to join Capacity4dev;
- participate in outreach activities;
- get involved in the production of content such as articles, blogs, videos and podcasts.
What are the selection criteria?
Our team looks for professionals who:
- are registered users on Capacity4dev;
- can reach out to a broader community of international cooperation professionals;
- are active on social media;
- are resourceful and ready to come up with creative ideas to increase the impact of Capacity4dev;
- enjoy collaboration and networking.
As we aim to secure thematic areas and regional representation and balance, the team will take this factor into account, too. Gender balance will be considered as well.
I study international relations or plan to work in the field of international cooperation and development. Can I still apply?
Absolutely. Young individuals are encouraged to apply.
How will communication and coordination take place?
The Capacity4dev team plans to have several communication channels in place including a group on Capacity4dev, and an e-mailing list.
Will I receive a training on how to act as an Ambassador?
Of course. The Capacity4dev team will ensure all Ambassadors are well-equipped to deliver on their role. The preparation includes at least one online session.
