2014 PFM Board Spring Prize
Discussion details
This is a new prize that we at www.PFMBoard.com award to a leading person/institution which has left a mark in the PFM profession.
The first Spring Prize goes to the PEFA Secretariat for its work on guiding and promoting the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability performance assessment of PFM systems in a country. Since its establishment in 2001 the Secretariat has succeeded in making the PEFA program the standard in the analysis of PFM systems as the PEFA addresses the full spectrum of PFM processes and procedures at central and sub-national levels of government. The PEFA approach of high-level indicators has been incorporated into development partner institutions’ approach to analysing PFM in Fiduciary Risk, as well as to develop drill-down in specific areas of PFM. PEFA has been applied in over 140 countries and the PEFA Secretariat is in the process of a year-long exercise to review and enhance it.
Well done and thank you, PFM Secretariat, for leading the way in our profession.
