ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly drafts a report on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in developing countries

At its meeting of 1 December 2010, the Bureau of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly authorised its Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment to draw upa report on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in developing countries.

At its meetings of 16 March 2011, the Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment appointed Musikari Kombo (Kenya) and Catherine Bearder, as corapporteurs.

The Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment considered the draft report at its meetings of 14 May 2011, and 5/6 October 2011.

You will find in attachment the final report: Part A - Draft motion for a resolution and Part B - Explanatory Statement. It is expected to be adopted in November 2011.
