Activities of November

Forthe month of November the Project Positioning of forest governance in Colombia has scheduled various activities, which aims to consolidate the process of forest governance in the jurisdictions of the Corporations

Amongthese activities are:

November 7: Workshop with the Cauca Regional Autonomous Corporation - CRC-, to address issues of forest law enforcement.

November 9: Visit of Jean Paul Blandiniers European expert to review with the technical staff of the Project Governance developments in Colombia, this expert mission comes at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels.

From 6to 16 November: Technical support of the CAR

November 14: Signing of Agreement for Legal Timber Department in Risaralda.

For defining exact date: coordination meetings with the Ministry of Environment, to determine the mechanism of adoption of protocols to use control and monitoring, mobilization, processing and marketing of timber, like the Timber Cubing Guide.

November 22 and 23: National Workshop to build the concept of Legal Timber (this event will be attended by the European Forest Institute and WWF Brazil.

November 30: National Expert Workshop to Build a Forest Stewardship Proposal for CAR members of the project, this event will have the participation of 30 national experts.
