Agreement with IDEAM

The project positioning forest governance in Colombia (which is funded by the European Union and is led by CARDER), has formalized an agreement with the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia (IDEAM) , which has for object: "Combining technical and administrative efforts to strengthen and optimize the flow of information between the project Positioning forest  governance in Colombia, and coordinated by the IDEAM and CARDER, through the National Forest Information System –SNIF. "

The signing of the agreement is more important for the development of project because it allows having the support and experience of an institution of great importance in environmental matters. Furthermore, it is expected that the joint work between Project-IDEAM, allow modernize, upgrade and nourish databases forest inventories, focusing on the theme of forbidden species, species traded, illegal forest paths, among other things.

Furthermore, it should be noted the joint with different entities seeking to find mechanisms to carry several areas the results obtained by the project, which is of great significance for achieving the goals and carry the message of conservation forest and sustainable use and management of the same to Colombian society.
