The Low Emissions Development Strategies (LEDS) Global Partnership is pleased to announce our newly expanded, no-fee remote Expert Assistance service.

With this new service, government agencies and technical institutes working with governments can receive remote consultation and advice on LEDS analysis, financing, energy, waste, and transport measures. The service connects country teams with an extensive international network of LEDS professionals to provide quick-response advice and assistance via phone and email consultation.  This assistance can include reviewing draft strategies, sharing approaches that other countries have conducted, facilitating links with peers, and compiling data and information.

The LEDS GP expert teams can provide assistance on the following topics:

·      Methods and tools for assessment of LEDS baselines and goals, technology and policy options, and impacts

·      Strategies and measures for mobilizing private and public investment in LEDS priorities

·      Policies and programs for implementing climate-resilient low emission energy, waste, and transport measures

The LEDS GP can provide up to 40 hours of no-cost expert advice per request to members of the partnership.  For more in-depth assistance, the service links country teams with existing international technical assistance programs.

Please send requests for assistance and questions on the service to Bethany Speer at bethany.speer@nrel.gov. We encourage all LEDS country teams to use this service.  For more information about joining the LEDS GP, please see: http://ledsgp.org/join.
