juan%20manuel%20alvarez.JPGThe The project  Positioning of the Forest Governance as a member of the Pact for Legal Timber in Colombia, accepted the invitation of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development to participate in the annual meeting of this voluntary agreement that was ratified in August 2011.

For the event to be held between 5 and September 6 this year, in Bogota, intervention is planned both CARDER director, Juan Manuel Alvarez Villegas, as the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Juan Gabriel Uribe, among others invited to the meeting.

Similarly, will present progress made in the framework of this initiative incorporated in the National Development Plan 2010-2014 and which brings together 70 public and private entities, to show advances developed in the country in terms of contributing to Forest Governance forest legality, and there will be tables working group with the aim of boosting in PIMLC.

The project Positioning of Forest Governance in Colombia, funded by the European Union, is administered by the CARDER, running with Corantioquia Corpocaldas, CRC, Codechocó, Corponariño, Corponor, CRQ, Cortolima, Corpourabá, and CVC.
