In order to develop the general structure of a control system and Forest Vigilance  jurisdictions in the 11 CAR  members, the project Positioning of the Forest Governance in Colombia began a contract with the international firm SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance).

SGS will perform the function through a pilot test, a diagnostic system check (traceability) of wood in Colombia. Which should shed solutions and recommendations to devices and techniques appropriate to the context of the 10 departments where the project is developed, and that results in the design of a draft model Assurance System for Forest Legality (SAL).
It is expected that in the coming days materialize a meeting with the representatives of SGS, to make a road map that will guide the work of the coming months.
