Powering Agriculture: 2nd Call for Innovation

The USAID-initiated international initiative Powering Agriculture – An Energy Grand Challenge (PAEGC), supported by the German government through the GIZ programme ‘Powering Agriculture – Sustainable Energy for Food’, is launching the 2nd Call for Innovation this November. The call will be open for applications from 1 December 2014 until 15 February 2015. The application form can be found here starting 1 December 2014: http://poweringag.org/call-innovations.

Against the backdrop of a growing world population and hence, a rising demand for food, the call aims to support organisations and companies with innovative solutions at the interface of agriculture and energy in order to develop and promote energy smart solutions for resource-efficient and sustainable food production.

The 11 winners of the 2013 call received approximately USD 1 million each for boosting their respective projects.
