Caribbean regional disaster response and management mechanisms: prospects and challenges

This study seeks to provide an analytical assessment of the roles of Caribbean regional institutions in disaster management and to ascertain any gaps in policy or implementation at the regional and national levels. The study also provides an analysis of the challenges facing regional mechanisms and presents recommendations for strengthening the role of regional organizations in disaster risk management.
