Certification Program of Guadua

The Project Positioning of forest governance in Colombia, which is funded by the European Union and led by the CARDER, will participate in the International certification program of Guadua, which made ​​the Technological University of Pereira. 

Theproject will present a conference on current forestry regulations for the management and use of natural and planted guaduales. In this presentation, topics will be approached related with:conceptsof governability and forest governance, general guidelines of the FLEGT Action Plan of the European Union, scope of the definition of legal timber, the unified standard for the management and sustainable use of Guadua advances in voluntary forest certification process in natural guaduales and final thoughts on legality, sustainability and the role of the different actors of the forestry chain.

These spacesserve to spread among different actors involved in the forestry chain and within the Academy, accomplishments and achievements that have been obtained from the Project. So as to show the different techniques that the proposals made ​​PPGFC thinking modernizing Forestry Administration of the Country.

The presentation of theproject will be held on Tuesday, February 12, at 04:00 pm, at the facilities of the Technological University of Pereira.
