Children and migrant worker info CEDEAO still waiting for info
Discussion details
Regarding your question: "Can we have specific references on current regional programs child/young migrant workers within CEDEAO region? I believe it would be useful to have references of programs/best practices of projects having as target population young migrant workers within the CEDEAO/ECOWAS region. Although Save the Children has extensive experience with this target group, references regarding young migrant workers/informal economy/social cohesion in the specific legal and socio-economic framework of CEDEAO/ECOWAS would be a plus."
Just want to let you know that we are still waiting for the contact details of the person who may be able to advise us. I have just sent a reminder to the individual who is supposed to provide the contact details that we are still waiting for this.
Also, I cannot find your comment back, please let me know where it was posted. I just pasted it here from a back place where I had kept the text.
Thank you, Mei

Dear Mei, Thank you very much for your update on our question about CEDEAO.
The comment is posted in the "Survey results - Request of further information" blog post, there's also some information pending on our side, and I hope that the field teams will be able to provide me with their feedback soon.
Thank you very much Mei!
Thank you very much Mei, really appreciated.
I have also identified an interesting program with regards to CEDEAO and labour migration: FMM West Africa http://www.fmmwestafrica.com/
It supports the ECOWAS Commission and West African governments in boosting free movement and effective migration management in the region. The project does this by supporting the effective implementation of the ECOWAS Free Movement of persons’ Protocols and the ECOWAS Common Approach on Migration at regional, national and local level
One of its componentes is Labour migrationEnhancing the governance of labour and skills mobility, improving migrant’s rights protection and facilitating the regional tripartite dialogue on labour migration, are FMM West Africa’s priorities on labour migration
It might be interesting for other partners working in the region.
