Young European Ambassadors got the power. They use their voice to make an impact. They learn, develop skills and support each other.

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) are creative networks of future young activists from across each of our NEAR regions (Western Balkans, Southern, and Eastern Neighborhood). For DG NEAR’s primary participation in the WCEF, Director Mathieu Bousquet invited 4 YEAs from Egypt, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine.

The aim of the network is to raise awareness about the EU’s cooperation with its Eastern partner countries, showcase the tangible results of this cooperation, contribute to policy dialogue on various topics, help increase civic activism and work together for a better future.

At the World Circular Economy Forum2024 in April, Young European Ambassadors had the opportunity to discuss with Mr Mathieu Bousquet Director, Thematic Support, Coordination of Policy & Financial Instruments, DG Neighbourhood & Enlargement Negotiations.

What is the place of the circular economy in the agenda 2030? What should be doing to engage more young people into secular economy? How can we assure alignment of need and value in the transition to a circular economy?

There are just some of the questions discussed – watch our recently launched video (on you tube) to follow the engaging conversation.
