Climate Change and Food Security
Discussion details
The web portal Climate change and food security, reporting evidence from international bodies, such as the FAO and university studies, is produced by the Climate Emergency Institute (CEI) which advocates for the human rights of the most climate change vulnerable populations and countries. The site was started as a response to the 2008 public statement by James Hansen that the world had entered a state of climate emergency. The CEI is comprised of a diverse professional faculty, specializing in one or more aspects of the global climate emergency, representing nations and cultures from around the globe. Representation is predominantly young professionals from an array of disciplines, as well as health and science experts living in vulnerable nations.
