Cooperation Lines are established with ONF Andina

In a meeting between representatives of the Forest Governance Project and Jean-Guénolé Cornet, general manager of the ONF andina, an approach was made to discuss cooperation possibilities.

So that the Forest Governance project in Colombia that EU funding could realize a support review and adjustment process of forest policy by the ONF Andina, and the second phase of work with the company SGS in the design Control System and forest Monitoring for CAR 11 associated with the project.

The director general of the ONF andina also said that work on a pilot case logging on Arenales (Chocó region Corpourabá jurisdiction). if this project yield the results they expect, propose to implement the strategy of social participation Forest Governance in this area.

There is also the possibility to support the development and management of a project for the Colombian Pacific forest census, which will include the issue of species identification in the field and woods.
