Country Learning Notes: reforms in budgeting & PFM in developing countries

ODI's Budget Strengthening Initiative has launched a new publication series detailing reforms made in budgeting and PFM in developing countries. With a particularly emphasis on providing information relevant to fragile states, the Country Learning Notes series are intended as a tool for policy makers and practitioners to learn from the experiences of other countries.

Each note focuses on a specific country and a particular policy area, documenting the challenges faced and decisions taken to overcome them.

So far, notes have been published on Rwanda, South Sudan and Uganda - the latter co-written by officials in the Ugandan Ministry of Finance.
