"Creating and sharing knowledge together on African Renewable Energy Sources": side event at the margins of Vienna Energy Forum 2013

Dear members of capacity4dev, colleagues,

We would like to inform you about the European Commission's, DG JRC Side event "Creating and sharing knowledge together on African Renewable Energy Sources", which will be held at the margins of the upcoming Vienna Energy Forum (organized by UNIDO), on the 28th May 2013, from 16:00h till 17.30h at Hofburg Imperial Palace, Mittlere Lounge (more information here).
 
The side event is open to all Vienna Energy Forum participants; therefore if you are attending the Forum, we hope you would join our team, which will release the new scientific report “The availability of Renewable Energies in a changing Africa”. This report follows and extends the 2011 JRC report "Renewable energies in Africa" and focuses on the climatic, demographic and technological changes expecting to involve Africa in the next decades and how they will impact the Renewable Energy production and deployment opportunities in the continent. The team will also present the online tool developed to visualize off-grid electricity production options in Africa.
