This book aims to draw comparisons between value chains in the Caribbean and the Pacific, two regions that have much in common. The Pacific is entirely and the Caribeean margely made of islands nations with relatively small populations. The two regions have sought to promote intra-regional trade, although with only limited access. Meanwhile, both are becoming increasingly dependent on food imports, in some cases with negative impacts on nutrition.
