This year’s the Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) will take place in Paramaribo, Suriname from 6-12 October 2014 under the theme: “Transforming Caribbean Agriculture through Family Farming”. The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of the Government of Suriname is the organizer of the event in collaboration with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat. Major partners of the CWA activities include the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute (CARDI), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and CTA.
