Discussion on green jobs at the European Parliament
Discussion details
The European Parliament has hosted an event in which the EP, the European Commission, ILO and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) discussed about Green Jobs in the context of the Rio+20 outcomes on the Green Economy, and how a greener economy can make a major contribution to poverty reduction and social inclusion. The recent ILO/UNEP report "Working towards sustainable development: Opportunities for decent work and social inclusion in a green economy", and the 2010 EP report "Developing the job potential of a new sustainable economy", contributed to the discussions.
