End of the Consultation Phase - Communication on Social Protection in EU Development Cooperation

The public consultation process for the preparation of the Communication began on the 16^th of December 2011 and ended on the 18^th of April. It included:

i) An online public consultation (16/11/2011-24/02/2012). The Commission received 135 written responses from: Member States; International Organisations; National Authorities from partner countries; NGOs (including Oxfam; and the general public.

ii) Consultation meetings in Brussels, with representatives from Member States, IOs, civil society, embassies of partner countries.

ii) Consultation meeting overseas, with technicians from the Ministries in charge of social welfare and Finances, as well as civil society organisations from Africa and Asia & Pacific (Casablanca, Addis Ababa, Bangkok).
