A meeting for coordinators of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 selected partnerships took place in October last year.

“We had a lot of participants from all around the world and it was the occasion to learn a bit more about the practicalities, administrative aspects of the programme. But also was the moment to share experiences, good practice, because some of these projects were experienced already in the region, so they could share and network also,” said Lorenza Gambacorta, a Programme Adviser for Erasmus Mundus Action 2 working at EACEA.

The event also offered participants the chance to reflect on the success of Erasmus Mundus, analysing the programme outcomes and lessons learnt. Although it was launched in 2009, “our projects are very long, the eligibility period is almost four, five years,” explained Ms Gambacorta. So it is only in the last two years that overarching conclusions on the projects' results have begun to be drawn. In the following video Ms Gambacorta shares some of the first observations.

Around 45,000 mobilities were funded at different levels, from undergraduate to academic staff. In the summer of 2014, EACEA conducted a survey among the scholarship holders with completed or on-going mobility. In the following video, Elena Palavrova, Project officer at EACEA, shares the findings of this survey.
