A meeting of EU Director Generals for Development took place in Brussels on December 12th, 2012. This included discussions on joint programming. An informal summary of the meeting is available here. It was agreed that Heads of Mission in 41 countries would be contacted and asked to prepare a short report assessing the potential for joint programming in their country. This follows on from a similar request made to 11 priority countries in January 2012 which has led to the commencement of joint programming processes in several of them. 

The additional 41 countries are: Algeria, Armenia, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burma/Myanmar, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Egypt, El Salvador, Georgia, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Timor Leste, Togo, Uganda, Vietnam, West Bank & Gaza Strip, Yemen, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
