EU Forest Action in TIMOR LESTE 🇹🇱 : Agro-Forestry for Timor-Leste
Ai ba Futuru (Partnership for Sustainable Agroforestry – PSAF), is a project co-financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF).
This 5-year project is targeting 4,000 marginalised households in 40 selected villages from the 4 municipalities, planting 3 million trees on approx. 6,000 hectares of land over the next 4 years. In 2018-19, the project has started working in 15 of the 40 villages. Ai ba Futuru aims at planting 3 million trees – which goes beyond the Government’s goal of planting 1 million trees.
