European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, on behalf of the European Union, signed 5 Memoranda of Understanding for a Forest Partnership with President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh for Mongolia, President Hakainde Hichilema for Zambia, First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga for Uganda, Foreign Minister Jean Claude Gakasso for the Republic of the Congo, and President Mohamed Irfaan Ali for Guyana represented by the Minister for Natural resources Vickram Barrat in the framework of the Global Gateway strategy, the EU’s offer to partner country for sustainable investments, and the EU Green Deal.
