EU result agenda: plenty of diversity

Dear All, just to inform you that last Friday 27 April we concluded our second meeting of the EU Expert Group on Results. We had in total about 40 partecipants  from EU members states,  representatives from Switzerland and Norway  and Commission ( mainly EUROPEAID) staff. We looked at very interesting issues namely Post-Busan Building Block on Results, European Investment Bank result framework, EUROSTAT Guide on Development Cooperation, EU Evaluation Methodology on Budget Support, and Europeaid framework for ensuring  quality and performance of aid operations. The seminar  showed the great diversity that we have in EU with respect results assessment and reporting but acknowledge the need to have a common approach in to  country-based result framework and better ways to strengthend them. A working group will be set up to look deeper into it.
