Eurostat has published trade data on wood products imported to the European Union from some countries that are negotiating or implementing a VPA.

The data includes all imports of identified tropical items covered under Chapter 44 in the international Harmonised System Nomenclature and Combined Nomenclature of the EU.

Eurostat is the Statistical Office of the European Commission. VPA countries are the 14 countries negotiating or implementing a Voluntary Partnership Agreement with the European Union.

The following graph shows imports since 1999 from 10 countries that are implementing or negotiating Voluntary Partnership Agreements with the EU. The data points to the potential value of timber that will be imported under FLEGT licences.
