Le Centre de Recherches et d’Etudes Sociales (CRES) is the research centre for social sciences of the Foreign Minister of Tunisia. It aims at realising studies and researches in order to promote the social protection and the other sectors not covered by social security, especially the informal economy. Moreover, the CRES conducts surveys and researches about the issue of poverty with its different dimensions.
In March 2015, the CRES published an evaluation survey about the performance of the social assistance programmes in Tunisia. The survey’s objective is optimising the targeting of poor people and preventing the advance of informality.
