Screen Institute Beirut offers documentary production grants to filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa.

Screen Institute Beirut, a Lebanese non-profit association, aims to provide more visibility to the views, issues and interests of the communities of the Arab world, and therefore encourages filmmakers to make films based on their own experiences, from an Arab perspective. Both experienced and emerging filmmakers are invited to apply for the fund until January 31.

The grant's scope is to enable low-budget films to be realized through financial support, access to equipment and professional guiding. Priority will be given to teams of directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, sound recordists, designers etc working together on independent filmmaking. Applicants need to receive additional financial support from other sources.

Screen Institute Beirut's Film Fund is active since 2009 and has supported dozens of film projects that have participated in various festivals worldwide.

Application form for the fund and more information about the process can be found on Screen Institute Beirut's website
