There are currently many bilateral and multilateral development partners who provide substantial assistance to the Pacific Island Countries (PICs), and in order for this assistance  to translate into better sustainable development gains, priority must be given to aid coordination and harmonization of support across development agencies. In the context of FAO programming assistance to the Pacific region (including the formulation of the expansion phase of the regional programme for food security) this mapping exercise was undertaken to detail and analyze current and planned activities of key development partners and regional agencies in the broader agriculture sector.
