Nuevo%20logo%202011(1).jpgThe project Positioning of Forest Governance in Colombia supported by the European Union and led by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Risaralda-CARDER was invited by the National University of Colombia, Medellin to participate in agricultural professorship in the cycle of conferences on Wood Market: Cost of Illegality.

At the conference held last May 2, the achievements reported by eleven CAR running the project in relation to the legal timber and combating illegal forest.
Currently, the Forest Governance project covering 22% of mainland national and have a forest cover of about 11.98 million hectares.

This project aims to modernize the forestry administration of 11 environmental authorities, ensuring that the use, transport, processing and marketing of timber is done legally.
