International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) started a Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI) that aims to foster fossil fuel subsidy reform. GSI research uncovers the characteristics of fossil-fuel subsidies and lessons for reform. We have activiely collaborated with different governments in developing countries, such as Indonesia, India, Bangladesh to support their subsidy reform.
