Selected clusters will receive technical assistance over a period of three years to improve their competitiveness and their products, to modernise and innovate, as well as to access new markets, including financial support for the acquisition and maintenance of new or improved equipment or services.
Most of the clusters identified are in the design-based industries that include clothing and footwear, jewellery, furniture and home decoration, crafts and textile. The other cultural and creative industries - cultural transmedia, live culture and professional creative services - are very present in the countries of the Southern Mediterranean.
