ODA engagement in fragile settings is becoming a rule rather than an exception. It is estimated that by 2030, fragile countries will concentrate 50% of the world’s poor. While it seems that we are advancing towards overcoming the so-called poverty paradox, we may well be substituting it for a much more complex fragility trap. The Regional PFD for Africa looks into the relation between fragility and migration and discusses causes and potential solutions to one of the most sensitive, urgent and difficult trends for the international community.
