Global Scene Session of PFD, 1 Oct 2014
Commissioner Piebalgs kicked off the session chaired by Jorge Balbis on the Global Scene in this critical year to determine the post-2015 agenda. Speakers Tanya Cox, Matt Simmonds, Bernhard Bramlage and Abbdelkebir Berkia laid out the need for a framework that includes Member States, local goverments, civil society as key partners, as well as minimum social protection, empowerment of individuals, respect, honesy and equality.
