The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as the Secretariat of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP), have pre-launched the online Global SCP Clearinghouse, an online hub dedicated to advancing Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) worldwide. The Global SCP Clearinghouse is an information and knowledge platform that will facilitate and trigger more innovation and cooperation towards SCP implementation.

The Global SCP Clearinghouse has been created to help provide the effective tools required for sharing knowledge, building synergies and strengthening cooperation between governments, the business sector, civil society and citizens, in order to move towards resource-efficient and sustainable lifestyles.

All stakeholders involved will be offered tools that will allow them to:

Browse regional and thematic communities dedicated to key SCP-related areas or sectors, such as sustainable food systems, sustainable tourism, lifestyles, education and youth or sustainable public procurement;
Share and find information and initiatives on SCP, with a worldwide SCP database, news and events;
Build networks and identify partners with an interactive marketplace for SCP cooperation, working groups and forums;
Strengthen capacities with the experts/resource persons directory, a dedicated E-library and other tools included in MySCP, the members’ personal space on the platform;

The Global SCP Clearinghouse will also serve as the information platform of the 10YFP – for more information visitwww.unep.org/10yfp

At this stage, interested parties can learn more about the SCP Clearinghouse ahead of its launch, or sign up as members ahead of the official launch.
