#GreeningEUcooperation: Learn about the candidate countries seeking to join the European Union
Discussion details
Along with Moldova and Ukraine (as well as Georgia as a potential), the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III) has been designed to support the six Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) and Turkey on their path towards fulfilling EU accession, including the implementation of the Economic and Investment Plan and the Green Agenda.
In order to spur the long-term recovery of the region, sustain a green and digital transition, boost economic growth and the reforms required to move forward on the path to EU membership, environment and climate change need to be fully integrated in EU partnerships in the region.
For support and information on how to mainstream climate and environment beyond their sectoral areas, into all five windows of the IPA III Programming Framework, please contact: INTPA-GREENING-FACILITY@ec.europa.eu | NEAR-GREENING-FACILITY@ec.europa.eu
