Happy World NGO Day!

NGOs are vital partners for the EU, as implementers of development assistance and as key development policy actors feeding discussions with innovative approaches. Dear partners from the civil society, share your projects and tell us where the EU support is most needed.

Full involvement and empowerment of communities and beneficiaries is needed for development to be sustainable. Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) are best placed to reach out to local stakeholders and authorities. As they are on the frontline in addressing the world's most pressing challenges, they play a critical role in responding to the local needs, targeting the most vulnerable and marginalised, and making their voices heard.

Through its partnerships with NGOs, EU complements its bilateral support to education in partner countries and multiplies the impact of its funding. Partners in more than 100 countries contribute greatly to the EU’s support to access to inclusive quality education for all.
