Watch how the University of Wolverhampton, Centre for International Development and Training (CIDT) and its partners CIEDD and MEFP in Central African Republic, media and parliamentarians leveraged the opportunities provided by the FLEGT VPA in the Central African Republic to promote integration of indigenous peoples’ rights in the country’s new draft constitution. Key lessons -  civil society participation in public policy processes and in policy dialogues can contribute to inclusive and effective policies, if complemented with adequate allocation of resources and sound management. Governments can benefit from the constructive participation of civil society organisations (CSOs) in the development, implementation and monitoring of national strategies, at all levels.
