How is the ReNOKA programme integrating climate and environmental concerns?
Discussion details
ReNOKA is an EU-funded integrated catchment management programme in Lesotho that addresses water security, socio-economic and environmental issues, such as land degradation and climate change.
With Lesotho being the water tower of Southern Africa, this programme will have a significant impact on water and power generation for four countries in the region, including Lesotho, South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
ReNOKA embraces a new way of thinking that sees land, water, people and infrastructure as one interconnected system that must be managed collectively, using multiple approaches, for the sustainability of future generations.
