The Indonesia-EU Joint Implementation Committee has published its first annual report on the implementation of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement under the EU FLEGT Action Plan. The goals of the Action Plan are to combat illegal logging and foster good forest governance.

The report summarises progress since the Indonesia-EU VPA entered into force on 1 May 2014 and covers the period from May 2014 to April 2015. Topics include progress made in the timber legality assurance system, institutional strengthening and capacity building, steps towards FLEGT licensing, stakeholder engagement, communication, transparency and monitoring.
