Integrating economic development approaches into peacebuilding in the Central African Republic

Dear members,

have a look to the article written by Irchad Razaaly, manager of the Bêkou Trust Fund, and published in "Great Insights" magazine, dealing with the role of economic recovery and job creation in fostering social cohesion and peacebuilding.

The Fund has launched specific programmes with this focus:

• A programme of economic and social reconstruction in urban areas
• A programme to promote the economic recovery and the empowerment of Central African economic actors.

Moreover economic revival and job creation are part of other programmes financed by the Fund in the areas of gender, food security and reconciliation.
