Globally 89% of girls complete primary education, but only 77% complete lower secondary education, which in most countries is 9 years of schooling. Limited educational opportunities for girls has negative consequences not only for them, but also for their children and household, as well as for their community and society.
EU promotes girls' and boys' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights through education in more than 100 partner countries.
