International Disability and Development Consortium Event: Say YES to Inclusion!
Discussion details
On the 23rd of January the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) launched the IDDC European Elections statement, hosting an event in collaborations with members of the EU parliament. Several MEPs took the podium to sign the statement and express their commitment to inclusive development cooperation (MEPs Bart Staes (Belgium), Michael Cashman (UK), Filip Kaczmarek (Poland) and Marian Harkin (Ireland)). The event included a video from the campaign "End inclusion – Let's enable the Millennium Development Goals" a three year awareness raising project funded by the European Union, implemented by several European organisations (Licht für die Welt (Austria), Light for the World (Netherlands), Svetlo pro Svet (Czech Republic), The Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development (NL) and eRko (Slovakia)).
