Short job description: 

We are seeking to hire one Budget Officer - Financial verification to work in the Budget team of FPI.8.

The work involves coordination with Commission line DGs and the EEAS on EU policies and their projection abroad. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, friendly, and motivated team with a strong emphasis on collaboration.

Under the supervision of Team Leader, the successful candidate, together with other colleagues in the budget team, will contribute to the annual budget for Assistance Measures, related amending budgets, the forecasting exercise, budgetary transfers, and the carry-over decision within the context of a unique foreign policy instrument financed outside of the EU budget – the European Peace Facility (EPF). The jobholder will verify the financial transactions related to revenue and expenditure operations and ensure their compliance with the regulatory framework governing the execution of budgetary appropriations.

Furthermore, the jobholder will monitor and follow up the budget procedures and its implementation once the budget is adopted and ensure the timely diffusion of information to Member States and other services.

The jobholder will also provide input to reporting/briefing requests at the Service level and may be invited to represent the Unit at meetings with external stakeholders. ​
