Launch of the IRENA's Global Atlas for Solar and Wind

IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) has launched its Global Atlas for Solar and Wind on January 13, 2013.

The Global Atlas is the comprehensive information platform on the potential of renewable energy. It provides resource maps from leading technical institutes worldwide and tools for evaluating the technical potential of renewable energies. In doing so it seeks to bridge the gap between countries having access to the necessary expertise and information for evaluating their renewable energy potential, and the countries deprived of those elements.
