Je suis invité à présenter l’Initiative
Inscription des Cultures créoles au Patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’UNESCO
Au MASA 2020, à Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire et y faire état de projets de coopération culturelle entre les mondes créoles de l’Océan indien, de l’Atlantique et des Caraïbes. Un vaste programme auquel le continent africain est intimement lié.
Cette initiative fait partie du processus impliquant les États qui se proposent d’inscrire des éléments de leur patrimoine sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial. Son objectif est de sensibiliser les communautés créoles à leur patrimoine et de partager ses valeurs avec les peuples du monde. Actuellement, le plan de travail de l'initiative prévoit de sensibiliser les artistes et les professionnels de la culture, en tant que créateurs et médiateurs, à la promotion du patrimoine des cultures créoles.

I am invited to present the Initiative “Inscription of Creole Cultures in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO” at MASA 2020, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and report on cultural cooperation projects between the Creole worlds of the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic and the Caribbean. A vast program to which the African continent is intimately linked.
This initiative is part of the process involving States which propose to inscribe elements of their heritage on the World Heritage List. Its objective is to make Creole communities aware of their heritage and to share its values with the peoples of the world. Currently, the initiative's work plan plans to sensitize artists and cultural professionals, as creators and mediators, to the promotion of the heritage of Creole cultures.
