Meeting of Officials of the CARDER and CRQ

The director of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Risaralda, Juan Manuel Álvarez Villegas, as leader and person in charge of the project forest governance in Colombia (which is funded by the European Union and is led by CARDER) met yesterday September 11, with the Director of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Quindío (CRQ), Sandra Milena Gómez Fajardo, to socialize together advances in forestry that have been obtained during the two years of implementation of the initiative.

Similarly, the Directors reviewed the development of the Operational Plan of this period and discussed the goals to achieve in the years to implement the project.

In coming days the Director of the CARDER expected visit to CAR Directors of all members, in order to present the results achieved and the technical products developed during the project development time. In addition, visitors seek to strengthen linkages and institutional cohesion, which is vital for optimum performance and the successful completion of all project objectives.

The visits will serve as prelude to the Committee of Directors of the Regional Autonomous Corporations Members, to be held on October 9 in the city of Bogota, in the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Pact for Legal Timber in Colombia.
