An agreement between the regional environmental authority of Risaralda CARDER and the International Network of Bamboo and Rattan INBAR was sign.

Increasing the production capacity of families affected by climate change  as well as including bamboo / guadua for improving livelihoods of poor people, are objectives of the cooperation agreement signed between the regional environmental authority of Risaralda CARDER and the International Network of Bamboo and Rattan INBAR.

The agreement was signed at the Forum: ”Legality and competitiveness in the forest sector in Latin America”, that took place between September 30th to October 3rd in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.

The agreement CARDER - INBAR pretends to build, plan and execute projects related to the productive chain of bamboo / guadua and housing in this material, with an environmental sustainability criteria. Surely, this projects  and the actions related to it, will benefit small farmers in the region.

The European Union has funded both, CARDER and INBAR´s  projects. This agreement is possible thanks to the work sessions and  similar aims that the projects have.

The Forest Governance Positioning Project is funded by the European Union and led by CARDER, in association with Corantioquia, Corpocaldas, CRC, Codechocó, Corponariño, Corponor, CRQ, Cortolima, Corpourabá, CVC, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Asocars and Aldea Global.
